Embark on a transformative 7-night, 8-day adventure that takes you through the heart of the Deep South, where history isn't just learned, it's lived. This isn't your typical civil rights tour, it’s an immersive, soul-stirring experience that brings you face-to-face with the stories of struggle, resilience, and triumph that forged the Black experience in America.

As you travel through Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, you'll visit iconic Civil Rights sites, a former plantation, museums, and memorials, you will see how each of these stops are powerful testament to the fight for freedom. But what sets this journey apart, is the deep personal connections you'll forge with people along the way. Local guides and community members, many of whom have lived this history, will break bread with us, share their stories, and walk us through these historic sites, offering insights and perspectives that you won’t find in textbooks.

From the impact of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the rise of Jim Crow laws, this tour will deepen your understanding of the forces that shaped America and the ongoing fight for justice. Expert guides and guest lecturers will provide powerful context, while every stop will leave you inspired, connected to the past, and motivated to continue the work of those who came before us.

SEEN’s Black Freedom Quest tour ranks in the top echelon of any type on the planet in all aspects—curation, comfort, hospitality, safety, and best bang for the dollar. The company is truly professional and reliable in every aspect. I say so as a 33 year veteran of the U.S. State Department who has been on many tours, short and long. A prime example of the uniqueness and special qualities of SEEN. Ms. Nakimera Moore and her team actually visited the places visited beforehand, locating authentic guides, who actually participated in the civil rights movement or knew key players in it, and were otherwise intimately acquainted with the sites. These were the people who spoke with us, any one of whose acquaintance amounted to an historic experience for travelers. And we could hear, due to their state of the art portable acoustic system. SEEN showed dedication, commitment, and love to our having the most remarkable experience possible and delivered the goods.
